CVE-2021-1076

Data exposure and service interruption via access-control failure

Published Apr 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper access control in NVIDIA GPU Display Driver allows local users to interrupt service, disclose information, or corrupt data. The flaw resides in nvlddmkm.sys or nvidia.ko, but NVIDIA has not disclosed which kernel-mode resource lacks the required access check. Low-privileged local access is required, and exploitation needs no user interaction; the documented consequences are limited disclosure, limited modification, and denial of service.
