Local privilege escalation via stale-pointer dereference
Published Apr 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in NVIDIA Windows GPU Display Driver allows local users to execute code or interrupt service through DxgkDdiEscape. The nvlddmkm.sys handler dereferences a pointer to memory that is no longer valid. Local low-privileged access is required; the published assessment limits attacker-controlled modification and reports no confidentiality impact.
