Installer race in NVIDIA GPU Display Driver R390 before 392.65 allows local users to execute code by replacing a validated resource. The installer validates an application resource, leaves a brief replacement window, and then executes the resource without revalidating it. A local unprivileged user must win that race while a user with system administration rights runs the installer; successful replacement enables privileged code execution, information disclosure, or service interruption.
