CVE-2021-1072

Denial of service via log file mishandling

Published Feb 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Arbitrary file deletion in GameStream in NVIDIA GeForce Experience before 3.21 allows local users to cause a service interruption. The rxdiag.dll component improperly handles GameStream log files, resulting in deletion of an arbitrary file instead of bounded log handling. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access, user interaction, and high attack complexity; the bounded consequences are file deletion and denial of service.
