CVE-2021-1063

Data exposure and service interruption via unvalidated offset

Published Jan 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in NVIDIA Virtual GPU Manager 8.x before 8.6 and 11.0 before 11.3 allows local users to expose or alter data or interrupt service. The vGPU plugin fails to validate an input offset before using it for a buffer access, allowing a read beyond the intended boundary. Low-privileged local access is required; successful exploitation can disclose or tamper with data or interrupt the vGPU service.
