Data tampering via unvalidated input index
Published Jan 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper input validation in NVIDIA vGPU Software 8.0 through 8.5 and 11.0 through 11.2 allows local users to alter data or interrupt service. The guest kernel mode driver and vGPU plugin use an input index without validating it before accessing data. Low-privileged local access to the driver path is required, and successful exploitation is bounded to data tampering or denial of service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
