CVE-2021-1047

Local information disclosure via IPC address overflow

Published Dec 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in Google Titan M2 allows local users with System execution privileges to disclose memory without user interaction. The valid_ipc_dram_addr function in cm_access_control.c permits an integer overflow while validating an IPC DRAM address, causing an out-of-bounds read. Exploitation requires local System execution privileges and exposes information only; no integrity or availability impact is reported.
