Tapjacking in Google Android Automotive OS 9 through 12 allows local users to gain additional permissions through a Bluetooth pairing prompt. BluetoothPairingSelectionFragment.onCreate fails to prevent an overlay from directing user input to the obscured pairing selection interface. Exploitation requires a local malicious application and user interaction; successful exploitation elevates permissions on the affected device.
