Remote information disclosure via unchecked Vorbis write
Published Dec 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Android 9 through 12 Media Framework allows remote attackers to disclose information through crafted media. The vorbis_book_decodev_set function writes decoded Vorbis values beyond the destination buffer because it omits an output bounds check. Exploitation requires user interaction, and the published consequence is limited to information disclosure.
