CVE-2021-0939

Local information disclosure via unchecked passthru bounds

Published Oct 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in Google Titan M on supported Pixel devices allows local users with System privileges to disclose memory. The set_default_passthru_cfg function in passthru.c reads beyond a buffer because it fails to verify a passthrough configuration bound. Exploitation requires local System execution privileges and no user interaction; the documented consequence is information disclosure only.
