Use-after-free memory corruption in MediaTek apusys on Android 10.0 through 12.0 allows local users to escalate privileges. The apusys component accesses an object after its lifetime ends, but MediaTek has not disclosed the responsible function or object lifecycle. Exploitation requires System execution privileges and no user interaction; successful abuse corrupts memory and elevates local privilege.
