Out-of-bounds write in MediaTek apusys on Android 10.0 through 12.0 allows local users with System privileges to gain additional privileges. MediaTek has not published the affected function or input path; its bulletin states only that apusys omits a bounds check, permitting an out-of-bounds write. Exploitation requires System execution privileges on a device using a listed chipset and needs no user interaction.
