Use-after-free memory corruption in MediaTek apusys on Android 10.0 through 12.0 allows local users to elevate their privileges. The apusys component accesses memory after freeing it and corrupts memory, but MediaTek has not disclosed the affected function or object. Exploitation requires existing System execution privileges on a device with an affected MediaTek chipset and requires no user interaction.
