Remote code execution in Android's System component in Android 8.1 through 11 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted transmissions. RW_SetActivatedTagType in rw_main.cc races while changing activated NFC tag state, allowing shared state to become corrupted in memory. No privileges or user interaction are required; successful exploitation executes arbitrary code in a privileged process on a reachable device.
