Denial of service in the Android Framework in Android 9 through 11 allows local users to interrupt a device via an oversized app label. PackageItemInfo.loadLabel returned an app-supplied label without enforcing the safe maximum length, allowing an enormous string to overwhelm the system. Exploitation requires installation and presentation of the malicious app with user interaction; the public record does not distinguish a hang, crash, or reboot.
