Remote information disclosure via incorrect bounds check
Published Dec 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Android Media Framework 9 through 11 allows remote attackers to read process memory through crafted media. WT_InterpolateNoLoop in eas_wtengine.c applies an incorrect bounds check while interpolating untrusted media data, causing reads beyond the intended buffer. Exploitation requires user interaction; the documented consequence is information disclosure without code execution, data modification, or service interruption.
