Local information disclosure via AVC encoder double free
Published Jul 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Android 8.1 through 11 allows local users to obtain sensitive data through the AVC encoder. The libavc encoder error path returns a raw input buffer for release before dequeuing it, then frees the same buffer again and writes beyond its bounds. Exploitation requires local low-privileged execution, needs no user interaction, and has no reported integrity or availability impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
