Out-of-bounds writes in Android 8.1 through 11 allow local users with System privileges to escalate privileges without interaction. FMQ beginWrite and beginRead accept misaligned shared-memory counters and derive offsets that can place a write beyond the ring buffer. Exploitation requires local System execution privileges; the published record does not identify the resulting higher privilege level.
