Local location disclosure via unchecked Wi-Fi broadcast
Published Jul 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in the Wi-Fi system component in Google Android 13 allows local users to read location-sensitive data. WifiDisplayAdapter.handleSendStatusChangeBroadcast sends status-change data without enforcing the required permission check. A local low-privileged application can obtain the data without user interaction or additional execution privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
