Remote code execution via bounds-check failure
Published Jul 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Android 8.1 through 11 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted input. Factory::CreateStrictFunctionMap in factory.cc performs an incorrect bounds check while building a strict function map, allowing an out-of-range write. Exploitation requires no authentication or user interaction and can run attacker code in an unprivileged Android process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
