Remote information disclosure via oggpack_look bounds omission
Published Mar 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in bitwise.c in Google Cloud Android 11 allows remote attackers to disclose information via crafted media requiring user interaction. The oggpack_look function reads beyond available input because a bounds check is missing, exposing memory contents during media parsing. Exploitation requires a remote attacker to induce processing of crafted content and does not grant code execution or data modification according to the published record.
