Sustained routing disruption via ineffective DDoS policers

Improper initialization in Juniper Networks Junos OS allows remote attackers to disrupt routing via high-rate crafted traffic. The PFE leaves CLI ddos-protection changes beyond default policer settings ineffective, so specific packets repeatedly flap BFD sessions. Only specified PTX and QFX10002 systems with Paradise line cards are exposed, and continued traffic sustains the service interruption.
