CVE-2021-0265Network attack vector

Root command execution via unvalidated REST API

Published Apr 22, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

OS command injection in the AppFormix Agent of Juniper Networks Contrail Insights 3 allows remote attackers to execute commands as root. The Agent REST API fails to validate requests before invoking commands with root privileges; the affected endpoint and required request sequence are undisclosed. No authentication is required, but exploitation has high complexity and depends on unspecified preconditions; successful access grants full control of the Linux host.
