Routing-service crash via malformed RSVP packet
Published Jan 15, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Improper input validation in Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows attackers to crash RPD via malformed RSVP packets. RPD accepts a malformed RSVP packet on an MPLS egress router without adequately validating it, causing the daemon to core. Bidirectional LSPs must be in use, and continued packet receipt sustains the routing-service outage.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
