Adjacent unauthenticated service interruption
Published Feb 9, 2022 · Updated May 5, 2025
Improper validation in Intel PROSet/Wireless and Killer Wi-Fi software allows physically proximate attackers to interrupt service. Intel identifies improper use of a validation framework in the Windows software but does not disclose the affected component, malformed wireless input, or operation that mishandles it. Exploitation requires adjacent wireless access, no authentication, and an affected Windows 10 or 11 installation before PROSet/Wireless 22.60 or Killer Wi-Fi 3.0; the reported consequence is limited to availability.
