CVE-2021-0174

Service interruption via improper firmware validation

Published Feb 9, 2022 · Updated May 5, 2025

Improper validation in Intel PROSet/Wireless Wi-Fi and Killer Wi-Fi firmware allows physically proximate attackers to interrupt service. Intel has not disclosed the firmware locus, the affected wireless input, or how the validation framework mishandles that input. No authentication or user interaction is required, but the attacker must have adjacent network access; the documented consequence is denial of service only.
