Unauthenticated adjacent-network privilege escalation
Published Feb 9, 2022 · Updated May 5, 2025
Improper consistency validation in Intel PROSet/Wireless Wi-Fi and Killer Wi-Fi on Windows 10 and 11 allows remote attackers to gain privileges. Intel has not published the software component, input format, consistency rule, or incorrect operation that enables the escalation. Exploitation requires unauthenticated adjacent-network access to a system using an affected wireless adapter; Intel reports that a privilege boundary can be crossed.
