CVE-2021-0133Network attack vector

Privilege escalation via unauthenticated key exchange

Published Jun 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Key-exchange authentication failure in Intel Security Libraries for Data Center before 3.3 allows remote authenticated users to escalate privileges. The key-exchange protocol derives a shared key without authenticating the identity of the peer entity participating in the exchange. Exploitation requires authenticated network access and user interaction, and the resulting escalation compromises confidentiality and integrity without directly interrupting service.
