Local memory disclosure via transient floating-point results

Floating Point Value Injection in Intel processors allows local users to infer program memory through a microarchitectural covert channel. An assisting floating-point instruction exposes a transient noncanonical result to dependent operations before the pipeline is flushed and restarted. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled floating-point input, a suitable disclosure gadget, and code that uses the transient result as an address or type.
