CVE-2021-0070

Unauthenticated adjacent privilege escalation

Published Jun 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper input validation in Intel M10JNP2SB BMC firmware before 8100.01.08 allows remote attackers to escalate privileges via adjacent access. Intel has not disclosed the affected BMC input, validation failure, or operation performed on attacker-controlled data. Exploitation requires adjacent network reachability to the board's management controller and no authentication; the disclosed consequence is privilege escalation within the BMC environment.
