CVE-2021-0001

Local information disclosure via timing discrepancy

Published Jun 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Timing side channel in Intel Integrated Performance Primitives before 2020 Update 1 allows local users to obtain information. Intel identifies an observable timing discrepancy in the IPP Crypto Library but does not disclose the affected function or secret-dependent operation. A low-privileged local user must collect timing observations under high-complexity conditions; the reported effect is limited to confidentiality.
