CVE-2020-9802Network attack vector

Arbitrary code execution via insufficient WebKit restrictions

Published Jun 9, 2020 · Updated May 5, 2025

A WebKit logic issue in affected Apple products allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through maliciously crafted web content. Apple identifies the locus only as WebKit and states that inadequate restrictions permit crafted content to reach code execution; no finer-grained operation is public. Exploitation requires the target to process attacker-controlled web content and therefore requires user interaction or another content-loading path.
