Account takeover via stored name-parameter script injection
Published Mar 9, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in chat.php in LiveZilla Live Chat 8.0.1.3 allows remote attackers to capture helpdesk credentials and take over accounts. chat.php stores the name parameter so a helpdesk employee's later chat view executes its JavaScript and exposes lgn and psswrd values from mobile/chat autologin URLs. No authentication is required to submit the payload, but a helpdesk employee must load the affected chat view; multiple stored account credentials can be exposed.
