CVE-2020-9752

System-privileged file move via named pipe

Published Mar 23, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Path manipulation in NAVER Corporation Naver Cloud Explorer before 2.2.2.11 allows local users to move files with SYSTEM privileges. A named-pipe handler accepts an attacker-selected file path and performs the requested local file move under the SYSTEM account. Access to the product's local named pipe is required; successful exploitation can relocate files anywhere on the filesystem with system-level authority.
