Code execution via out-of-bounds MP4 write
Published Jun 25, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe After Effects 17.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted MP4 file. The MP4 parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing beyond the end of an allocated structure. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open the file and runs code in the current process and the current user's context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
