Code execution via 3GP parser over-read
Published Jun 25, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe After Effects 17.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted 3GP file. The 3GP file parser fails to validate user-supplied data before reading past the end of an allocated structure. Exploitation requires the target to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page, and code runs in the context of the current user.
