Code execution via malformed MP4 structure
Published Jun 25, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Audition 13.0.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code by opening a crafted MP4 file. Its MP4 parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing past the end of an allocated structure. A user must visit malicious content or open the file, after which code runs in the context of the Audition process.
