Code execution via malformed MP4 structure
Published Jun 25, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Premiere Rush 1.5.12 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted MP4 file. The MP4 parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing beyond an allocated structure. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file or visit a malicious page, and code runs in the current process.
