Code execution via PDF parser pre-object write
Published Jun 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe FrameMaker 2019.0.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted PDF file. The PDF parser fails to validate user-supplied data and writes before the start of an allocated object. Exploitation requires a user to open the file or visit malicious content, after which code runs in the FrameMaker process under the current user's privileges.
