Unauthenticated code execution via unblocked AnterosDBCPConfig gadget
Published Mar 2, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Deserialization in FasterXML jackson-databind 2.x before 2.9.10.4 allows remote attackers to execute code through crafted JSON. SubTypeValidator omits br.com.anteros.dbcp.AnterosDBCPConfig from its prohibited polymorphic types, allowing attacker-selected JSON type data to instantiate the gadget. Exploitation requires Anteros-Core on the classpath, default typing or equivalent polymorphic deserialization, and an application path accepting attacker-controlled JSON.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
