CVE-2020-9531

Code execution via GetApps webview redirection

Published Mar 6, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Untrusted redirection in Xiaomi MIUI 11.0.5.0.QFAEUXM allows physically proximate attackers to execute code through GetApps. The GetApps webview accepts crafted HTML parameters, follows a redirected URL after validating the URL itself, and executes data carried in those parameters. Exploitation requires an unlocked phone within NFC range and user interaction with a malicious page or file, enabling app installation and data disclosure in the GetApps process context.
