Credential-hash exposure via UNC path navigation

UNC path navigation in Micro Focus Enterprise Server before 4.0 Patch Update 16 and 5.0 Patch Update 6 allows attackers to expose MFDS account hashes. The affected MFDS component, including the copy bundled with Enterprise Developer, navigates a supplied UNC path and sends its service account's hashed credentials to an arbitrary site. Low-privileged access is required, and the disclosed consequence is credential-hash exposure rather than direct plaintext-password disclosure.
