CVE-2020-9495Network attack vector

LDAP attribute disclosure via login-filter injection

Published Jun 19, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

LDAP injection in Apache Archiva before 2.2.5 allows remote attackers to retrieve arbitrary attributes from connected LDAP user objects. The login service incorporates special characters from submitted credentials into its LDAP user filter, allowing the query predicate to be altered. LDAP-backed authentication must be enabled, and attribute values are inferred from request-response timing without authentication.
