Root privilege escalation via logrotate symlink race

Local privilege escalation in S. Siedle & Soehne SG 150-0 Smart Gateway before 1.2.4 allows local users to gain root access. The MySQL logrotate script moves and recreates mysql.log without preventing a symlink swap, so a mysql user can redirect root-owned touch and chown operations to create a writable file under /etc/logrotate.d. Exploitation requires existing shell access, stopping MySQL, and winning two races; a planted logrotate entry then makes an attacker-supplied binary set-user-ID root.
