Authentication bypass via unescaped user_id cookie
Published Feb 28, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in EyesOfNetwork eonweb 5.1 through 5.3-2 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication via a user_id cookie. The Translator.class.php language lookup concatenates the cookie value directly into a quoted user_id predicate without escaping or parameterization. No authentication is required on index.php, login.php, or logout.php; injected queries can disclose an administrator session identifier and grant administrator access.
