Operating system compromise via uploaded filename injection

Command injection in Phoenix Contact TC ROUTER and TC CLOUD CLIENT firmware allows remote authenticated users to compromise the device OS. The /cgi-bin/p/adm/cfg configuration-upload CGI passes a client-supplied XML filename containing shell metacharacters to system command processing instead of enforcing server-side validation. Administrative web-interface credentials are required; a crafted multipart POST request bypasses client-side filtering and executes arbitrary commands on the underlying device.
