CVE-2020-9420Network attack vector

Administrative credential disclosure via unencrypted HTTP login

Published Dec 14, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

Cleartext credential transmission in the web dashboard of Arcadyan VRV9506JAC23 routers allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read admin passwords. The dashboard submits its login password over HTTP without transport encryption, leaving the credential readable in captured traffic. An attacker positioned on a network path during an administrator login can recover the credential and then authenticate to the router's management interface.
