CVE-2020-9384Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via user-controlled password target

Published Apr 14, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Authorization bypass in Subex ROC Partner Settlement 10.5 allows remote authenticated users to take over accounts through crafted POST parameters. The Change Password feature accepts a user-controlled account reference in POST data and changes the referenced account's password without enforcing object-level authorization. The claim is disputed because the affected interface may exist only in a testing build, and successful access requires an authenticated account.
