Unauthenticated command execution via unrestricted script upload
Published Mar 5, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in IPTV Smarters WEB TV PLAYER through 2020-02-22 allows remote attackers to execute OS commands. The includes/ajax-control.php logoImage handler moves the supplied filename into the web-accessible images directory without checking its type or extension. No authentication is required, so an uploaded PHP web shell executes commands with the web server process privileges.
