Code execution via exported booking formulas
Published Mar 4, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
CSV injection in CodePeople Appointment Booking Calendar before 1.3.35 allows remote attackers to execute code through exported booking data. The plugin accepts formula-prefixed values in booking Name and Description fields and writes them unchanged to CSV, causing spreadsheet software to evaluate them when an administrator opens the export. Exploitation requires an administrator to export and open attacker-supplied booking data in a formula-capable spreadsheet, where the formula runs with the administrator's desktop privileges.
